Microsoft and Adobe fight for web designers' hearts and minds

First Adobe worked hard to develop the new Flex platform and to release the CS3 package, then Microsoft released Silverlight. Adobe took note of the giant treading in their territory, and announced they'll be opensourcing Flex: these days open source means wider adoption and free publicity. Now Microsoft will be opensourcing parts of Silverlight.
The clash is imminent.
